I'm addicted to Pinterest and being sick only increases that addiction.
I wish I had more girlfriends, they would appreciate this so much more than boys.

I love this tuque or beanie, whichever wording you prefer.

I would like to make something like this.

I think I can complete all of this!

Le sigh.
Watching "You've Got Mail" gets me into Fall mode and it's not official until Friday (according to my calendar)
But I'm going to make it official on Thursday, because I can....plus it's tv and Chinese night :)
Have a lovely rest of the weekend!
Step on some crunchy, colorful leaves for me.

Anticipating Autumn!

Reader,
I have a few confessions.

I like traditional things.
I like vintage things.
I like colorful things.
I dislike the word thing as of now...

You see I've been browsing pinterest.com and I'm kind of obsessed at this point.
It just has everything.

I like big old houses, I love Autumn, I love tights, I love fashion, I love leaves, I love dresses....I'm...I'm a bit consumed.
Maybe my feelings would best be represented in pictures today.

I just thought this one was funny :)

Staircases like these  + me = True love.

You know the house in Stepmom?
(random fact: that was the first movie I ever took my mom to; I was 10.)
I have always wanted that house.

Enough spamming, as you can see I am currently anticipating fall!

Hello Autumn

If you look outside today it is a beautiful unofficial Fall day.
When I came home last night you could smell it in the air.  That crisp, smoky smell :)
My thoughts are all over the place and my emotions are confused.

- I am excited because I found Moto jeans today for cheap.  They're the only brand I've ever found that fit me perfectly.  I bought a black pair and they will go perfectly with my boots.

- I found a messenger bag I want.  It's a boys, but do I care? No.

- I looked at more boots today.  These ones are similar to mine, but flat.  A plus is that my Mom likes them too.  I value my Mom's opinion on clothes very much.  Same with my brother's and then the boyfriend's.
I need to watch my spending...

- I'm in a little bit of a daze.  The boy is gone :(  But we had a quiet night last night.  Not goodbye.  I was satisfied with how it went.  I'm confident in this long distance thing, not completely confident but confident enough.  I'm worried about his safety and him finding a job mostly.
I shed a few tears after we departed but that was all.  I think I cried myself out the week when I first found out he was moving.

My Mom and I sat outside, drank some tea, ate a piece of the pie I made (which was really good by the way, and I don't even like peanut butter that much!) and enjoyed the sunshine :)

Confession: I am watching "Hocus Pocus" again.

I'm hoping to go through my clothes tonight to make some new outfits.  I'll probably do what I call and 'Impromptu Photoshoot' I used to do these all the time when I had insomnia.  It was so much fun.
I'd do extreme make up and hair, wear my 3D glasses for some of the outfits.
So much fun :)
I think it needs to be done again.
Now I just need to set up my "studio", meaning move my dresser.

Hope all of you are having a lovely day :)
I can't believe I have 46 followers, thank you guys :)
I love reading all of your comments and blogs as well!
Oh yay! #2 favourite part of "Hocus Pocus", 'rich people' .  I used to always want to trick or trick at a house like Allison's and have the lollipop she gives Dani.

Autumn, I Love You

I'm going to attempt to do an Autumn post today.
But first I finished reading "Something Like Fate" by Susane Colsanti today.
It was a good read, I enjoy what people call 'chick lit'.  I forget about my problems when I read them.
Anyways, in it the main character talks about when she thinks Fall begins, most people would say when school starts is the beginning of Fall.  She (Lani) thinks it's...oh shoot. How can I describe it?
It's the smell, the way it feels, you can just sense the change.
Like when I walked out of work last week, took a deep breath and smiled because I knew Fall was on it's way.
Anyways, I liked the way she put it.
I'd be able to describe it better but I took the book back.
It also made me question 'fate' but that's another blog.

Let's get down to business.
I have a deep love for Fall.
Like my boyfriend should be worried.
Okay not so much.
But yes Fall and I are best friends.
I even told it that if I ever have a child and that child is female, her name would be Autumn.
Wow, looking at pictures is making me excited =)

What do I love about Fall?

The smoky smell, but not in that gross cigarette way, but in a....it's so hard to describe that smell, but it is my favourite.

The fashion.
No need to explain myself there, I hope.

The colors.  The orange, yellows, browns and reds of the leaves.  The orange pumpkins.  The assortment of gourdes.

The fog.
We get some pretty ridiculous fog around here every so often in October/November.  I love it :)

The cool brisk wind.  I love going for a walk (which is another thing on my list) and having the wind whip through and tangle my hair and burn my cheeks on a sunny day.

The leaves.  You know what I'm talking about.  The gorgeous colors, the way they frolick in the wind and that crunching beneath your feet?  I live for that.

Halloween.  Candy corn.  Costumes. Decorations. Halloween cookies and cupcakes.

Baking.  Fall is just a baking time to me.  I think it's Thanksgiving that makes me think that.
This year I plan to make a pumpkin pie, an apple pie and I want to try spice cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
I'm also making my Mom a strawberry cheesecake...long story about how I'm a pig who loves desserts.

I had dessert before dinner the other day.

I think that's how I should eat from now on.

Waiting For The Leaves To Change

Even though it is not officially Fall yet I have made my first cd for the season, I'm beginning to go through my clothes and this week I'll begin Fall posts.
Remember my love of summer posts (there were many) expect plenty of those for Fall.
I'm thinking of going to a park near my house and taking a picture about once a week in the same place so I can see the leaves change color over time.
For some reason Florence + The Machine just screams Autumn to me.

One week and two days to go.
Whew, I love the auto-save.
Have a beautiful Sunday.

This Morning

I haven't slept in in weeks.
I used to be able to sleep until noon, which was a pretty bad habit.
I started gettting up 8:30/9am, with a 6:30am break in there where I hear my Dad get up.
Today I woke up "crap I slept in".  I checked my clock.
9:45am.
Still not as late as usual, but I am satisfied and well rested :)
It's nice waking up early.
I love Mult-Grain Cheerios.
I love the black pants I bought yesterday.
My forehead hurts from, uhh, you know, nailing myself with a broom at work.

I walked out of work yesterday wearing my red hoodie, took a deep breath in.
"Whoa."
Fall is coming.
That brisk wind that I love is picking up, the smell is changing.
The other day I was watching the wind, it was like it was blowing Summer away, it was kind of neat :)
I am so stoked for my new Xbox 360.  That I paid for :)
It feels good to buy yourself something.
A plus with it that I just realized this morning? I can talk to the boyfriend on it instead of racking up a phone bill.
I'm such a nerd.

I feel like squealing, that's how excited I am for Fall.
The Big Bang Theory premieres September 23rd!!
I also want to watch $#*! My Dad Says.  (That heart is actually a star)
And 90210 in the same month...I just can't remember the date.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that still watches 90210.

Okay.
This is weird.
I'm in a pleasant mood this morning and I'm not sure why.
The boy has gone to The City to talk to the landlord and I'm here.
Bored, yes.
Missing him, slightly.  Trust me it'll be worse in a week.
So why do I feel content?
Maybe I've gotten all the crying out of my system now I'm just accepting that this is the way it will be.
Maybe I'm confident that we will stay together.
Maybe I'm realizing that just because he left doesn't mean I'm alone.  I have my family, I have friends now.
I just feel a lot better.

Have a fantastic weekend!
