I Love Straws

Aren't straws just the best thing in the world?
They give me that little kid feeling again.  Especially when drinking chocolate milk, which I just did.
What makes you feel like a kid again?

Lately I've been more carefree and just having fun which makes me feel like a kid.
I love it!
When we get older we worry a lot more, because we have things to worry about, so it's nice to have a break from that.

I steered away from my original topic....I seem to do that a lot.

What I was going to originally start out with was:
You may not read this post until you watch this:

Did you watch it?
Okay good.
How are excited are you!?!
Zooey 'Freakin' Deschanel!!

I'm going to be sitting/laying either
a) on the couch
b) on my bed
c) on the floor/couch/chair/whatever I can place my bottom on in a apartment (this one is doubtful, but I am looking for a place!...which reminds me that I found one with an ocean view I need to check out.)

I will be sitting/laying on whatever with either
a)popcorn and chocolate milk
b) a bag of 5 cent candy
c) nachos
d) sushi
e) whatever other food I may be craving....but I'd like to make "New Girl" night a specific food night....like "The Big Bang Theory" has.  I'm weird like that.

I want to have a sushi night, or a twizzlers night except I eat twizzlers whenever, c'mon it's licorice!
I'd say Chinese night, but I prefer Chinese once a month or so.
Pizza night?......Hmmm I will have a specific food night this Autumn, I plan on it.

I can now say I went camping once this summer!
Technically twice but technically it was in May which wasn't Summer yet.
And it was in a motorhome.
I'm sorry, I just thinking tenting is "real" camping.

My attempts to be magical and toast my marshmallow with my wizard skillz.

The Coat That Has Everything

Hello Lovelies :)
I'd ask how your Christmases were but I believe I've read all about them already and it sounds like you had a wonderful holiday!
If I haven't read yours I want to know how it was!!
Hearing about other people's great days make me cheerful.
Is that odd?
Maybe a little bit.
Like all of you that had a white Christmas? I got so excited reading about it, but then I looked outside here and saw the rain.

Christmas on the west coast was very, wet but certainly enjoyable!

The only way to share my Christmas is through pictures.
Oh and to inform you that I woke up to a Big Bang Theory marathon and two Star Wars marathons!!
I have issues with fake punching people.
That big blue gift?
From the boy :)
See this wonderful cream coloured coat?
From the boy.
It has everything, pockets, buttons and a hood with corduroy lining.
Love.
A giant cupcake pan.
The boy knows me so well.

Oh look a beautiful lemon meringue pie!

And butter tarts!

Christmas morning is beautiful, even with all the rain.

Our gingerbread village.
See the one on the far left?
That's mine, it was declared "the town outhouse".

Boxing day buys: Scott Pilgrim VS The World, Call of Duty: Black Ops and a belated Christmas gift, Avatar.

So here are my ULTIMATE questions for you:

1. Your favourite Christmas moment?
2. The best thing you ate on Christmas day?
3. Your boxing day purchases, if you have any.

My goals this week:
-write in my journal about my accomplishments for 2010
-make a giant cupcake
-vacuum my bedroom
-tidy up the living room
-make a dessert for my family to share on New Year's Eve?
-try not to complain about work

Have a lovely week!
You'll most likely hear from me again as I have much more free time now.

Ready For The Weekend

First off I would like to tell you guys that I LOVE your comments.
It's amazing that I actually get comments.
I love that I'm connecting with people in other countries/provinces/states etc.
So I just want to thank you guys for actually reading my boring/sometimes exciting/whining posts.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
It's fun to interact with everyone :)
I met a good friend through blogging on a different site and it's just so amazing.
I have a friend in England that I still keep in contact with occasionally.  We've been pen pals since I was 9 years old.
We still write letters a few times a year, which reminds me it's my turn to write.
So thank you guys for being there, it seriously means a lot to me and I love reading your blogs as well!
When I'm having a bad day (everyday this week pretty much) at least one of you can always make me smile.

Sorry, distracted by Julie Andrews on Oprah right now.  Did you know she lost her voice due to throat surgery?
Random fact: I like to watch The Sound of Music between Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.  Usually it spans over a few days as it's something like 3 hours long and I get sleepy :)

So, I'll be AFK (away from keyboard...sorry, been watching The Big Bang Theory.) for a few days; going to visit the boyfriend :)
My costume is complete.
Expect pictures when I come back.

The boy got a job.
I'm so happy for him, but then minutes later my stomach clenched...now that he'll be out and about that means he'll be meeting new people.  Some of those people will be girls.
What if some other girl discovers what an awesome nerd he is and tries to steal him away.
Then I decided I was being foolish.
Sure another girl could be charmed by his nerdy-ness, but I think that we'll be fine.
We haven't had trust issues, we're independent people and just...it's just a gut feeling, knowing that we're going to be good :)

In other news, to add to the bad week I was having and could possibly still be having...
I dumped really smelly garbage all over the floor at work.  I mean REALLY smelly, as in I could smell it for the rest of the day.
Then I dropped the hose at work and it landed on the handle (of course) and sprayed me in the face.
I double checked with someone that my mascara didn't start running down my face.

But everything else was okay.
I had a fun day with The Boys at work, but I found out one of my good buddies is leaving for a better job.
I am truly bummed.

You know what's nice?
When the guy you crushed on throughout high school doesn't look as good anymore.

My schedule for tomorrow:
-Work
-Go to the bank/get coffee from McDonald's (Monopoly pieces!)
-Get my self transported to the boy's house (3 hours)
-During those 3 hours I will listen to my dying ipod (it lasts about 30 minutes now so I'll save it for the last 30 minutes of the trip), read, doodle and sleep.
-Run into the boy's arms dramatically while some sappy pop song plays.

Don't you like to imagine your life is a movie sometimes?
Confession: when I ride the bus I like to pick a song that suits the mood and pretend that I'm in a movie.

Have a fantastic Halloween weekend!!!
Eat candy, watch The Walking Dead (which premieres on AMC on the 31st by the way), watch scary movies, oooo I think Charlie Brown is on tomorrow :) (clearly that is a Halloween staple), go for Fall walk, dress up, scare people, carve a pumpkin :)

Smell Good, Johnny Depp and an Empty Dish

24. 5 Turn Ons & 5 Turn Offs.

Turn ons- 1. Blue eyes/blonde hair
2. Smelling good
3. Being slightly aggressive
4. Being able to argue/banter with me
5. Being able to be a dork with me :)

Turn offs- 1. Acting like a douche
2. No aggression at all
3. Not getting to the point
4. Always talking about yourself
5. You know when guys get with their friends and acting completely different? I hate that, I've accepted it but sometimes they acting like the biggest douche in the world...I guess that's the same as number 1.

25. Someone you'd like to be for a day and why?
An actress...but who to pick?  Someone talented of course.
Why? because I'd like to know if it's what I actually want to do.  I want to see how hard it is, what it's like to be on set...all the things that come with acting.
I think I'd like to be Johnny Depp actually or Meryl Streep.

26. Five things within touching distance right now
Cell phone, mouse, camera, Season 2 of The Big Bang Theory, an empty dish that contained carrots and ranch dressing.

Only four more to go...

Guilty About Girls

Well, I had a few sunny pictures that I snapped while leaving work yesterday, sadly they are not showing up in my email.
This morning at 7am the sky was amazing, cloudy, burnt orange, rainy and there was a freaking double rainbow (what does that mean?)
Seriously amazing.  At that moment I was thankful that I got to work outside.

When I left work this afternoon, I walked outside took a deep breath in.
The air was cold...it smelled like snow.
Yeah I said snow, it just had that clear cold smell to it...???Yeah, I don't know either.

Then I drove by the movie theater and their fragile looking trees had orange leaves on them!!! There were even some on the ground.  Was I excited?  Oh yes I was.

I love these scenes.  The set is awesome.
I'm sorry guys, I'm watching 'Hocus Pocus' yet again.  Don't ask me how I manage to watch this movie over and over, I'll try 'Casper' next, it's a Fall movie right?

I am loving 'Candy Candy' by Guilty About Girls:

Guilty About Girls hails from Vancouver, B.C. and has a electronic/dance sound that totally caught my attention today.  I rarely find music I like right away, usually I have to warm up to it but today I was bouncing in my car as I drove through the parking lot....at 20km/h
Wow, I sound like I'm selling them.

Two days until it's officially Fall, and 'The Big Bang Theory' premiere!

Free-day

Yay!
It's my day off! :)
Work, surprisingly, isn't as difficult without the boy as I thought it would be.

So since today is my free day I plan on spending it wisely.
-Sleeping in until 10am at the latest
-Going to the library
-Making sugar cookies
-Exercising!
-Tidying my room
-Watching more of 'The Big Bang Theory' Season 1 which I bought yesterday while painting my nails silver
-Drinking peppermint tea
I'll do the last two things last so I can relax.
It'll be a fine day :)
...If it's raining hard/a sunny Fall day then I shall go for a lovely walk!

Oh darn, I wanted to break out the tights tomorrow but I forgot to buy static guard.  Last time I wore tights I was a static-y mess.

So I was checking out my stats today and found out that the following question was used to find my blog, it made me chuckle:
why do boring girls get boyfriends?

This Morning

I haven't slept in in weeks.
I used to be able to sleep until noon, which was a pretty bad habit.
I started gettting up 8:30/9am, with a 6:30am break in there where I hear my Dad get up.
Today I woke up "crap I slept in".  I checked my clock.
9:45am.
Still not as late as usual, but I am satisfied and well rested :)
It's nice waking up early.
I love Mult-Grain Cheerios.
I love the black pants I bought yesterday.
My forehead hurts from, uhh, you know, nailing myself with a broom at work.

I walked out of work yesterday wearing my red hoodie, took a deep breath in.
"Whoa."
Fall is coming.
That brisk wind that I love is picking up, the smell is changing.
The other day I was watching the wind, it was like it was blowing Summer away, it was kind of neat :)
I am so stoked for my new Xbox 360.  That I paid for :)
It feels good to buy yourself something.
A plus with it that I just realized this morning? I can talk to the boyfriend on it instead of racking up a phone bill.
I'm such a nerd.

I feel like squealing, that's how excited I am for Fall.
The Big Bang Theory premieres September 23rd!!
I also want to watch $#*! My Dad Says.  (That heart is actually a star)
And 90210 in the same month...I just can't remember the date.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that still watches 90210.

Okay.
This is weird.
I'm in a pleasant mood this morning and I'm not sure why.
The boy has gone to The City to talk to the landlord and I'm here.
Bored, yes.
Missing him, slightly.  Trust me it'll be worse in a week.
So why do I feel content?
Maybe I've gotten all the crying out of my system now I'm just accepting that this is the way it will be.
Maybe I'm confident that we will stay together.
Maybe I'm realizing that just because he left doesn't mean I'm alone.  I have my family, I have friends now.
I just feel a lot better.

Have a fantastic weekend!
