I've read a couple books lately that gave me insight on Love.
The authors pretty much captured how I feel sometimes and why I do or say the things I do.
For instance I read "Triple Shot Bettys In Love" by Jody Gehrman (Read "Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty" first)
How can I do this without spoiling it?
Uhhh Alert! Alert! If you plan on reading this book I might spoil it for you..........does that work?
Hero was advising Geena on the subject of 'Love' and the reason that Geena didn't like love was because she hates feeling out of control.
"You can't control love."
"It controls you."
Is that true?
Does Love control people?
I think it controls our feelings.
We can't change how we feel, no matter how hard we try.
At least that's my opinion.
Has anyone read "Dash and Lily's Book of Dares"?
I loved it, but then again I'm a huge Rachel Cohn and David Levithan fan.
In it one of my favorite characters, Boomer, poses the question: "But what if it's not a yes-or-no question?"
Love that is.
Then they go on to discuss meeting the right person at the wrong time, wrong person at the right time and right person at the right time.
I don't really know what I'm getting at here, but it messed with my head an awful lot.
Which is what books are supposed to do.
Dash drew a map, and I'm tempted to draw a similar map.
When I do, I'll share it when you.
He wrote "Love" on a dry erase board and wrote words...everything that comes with love, all over the board until you could no longer see the word "Love".
So I didn't really come to a conclusion in this post.
I've just confused myself even more.

A Whining List..Sorry
I feel like telling a story today.
I'm looking around my room for something to tell a story about, but I'm coming up short.
Everything is new-ish and doesn't have a story behind it.
Oops-I'm supposed to be exercising.
I could write yet another 'love' post.
I could talk about Halloween . . .again.
I could whine about work -I only have 15 hours left to work this week before a weekend away-
I could online window shop and share my finds with you.
I could post about my new boots, but I'm too lazy to get up to take a picture.
I could complain about how my left arm muscle feels bruised. Is that possible?
I could tell you that I bought some awesome shampoo today.
I could tell you that I didn't make cookies today like I said I was going to;
instead I napped.
I could inform you about the new zit forming on my chin.
I could go into a lengthy discussion about Full House and how I'm watching all the seasons again for the millionth time.
I could drone about how I stay on Facebook too much waiting for the boy to come on so I don't have to text him. I'm a much faster typer than texter.
I could stomp my foot about how the bookstore doesn't have "Dash and Lily's Book of Dares" by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan in stock.
I could warn you that I think I'm getting sick and I have a wonderful canker sore from when I bit my cheek..stupid Oreos.
I could, for some reason, tell you that I haven't been about to get the sour smell of garbage out of my nose all day.
I could shout about how I forgot to charge my ipod and I need it to exercise.
But you know what? No one wants to know about those things.
You know when your week starts out bad and then it's like every little thing makes is worse?
I'm having one of those weeks.
Let's just hope this weekend makes it better :)
♥
P.S. Anyone who reads this: Sorry for the constant complaining. I really try not to, but after exhausting my Mom with my complaints yesterday I don't really want to do it again. As for the dogs? One is deaf and the other one gives bad advice.
Oh and I just missed the boy on Facebook. Grr.

I Love Books
Did you know that?
I do.
Confession: I used to hate reading as a kid. So much that I can't believe that that little me is the same me I am now. Make sense? Also, I had comprehension problems so book reports were a nightmare.
Sure if a person asks me what a book is about now I still have trouble explaining but I can at least understand and enjoy book.
Recently I learned that I can not start reading a book at work. It's a curse.
If I start page 1 at work I can never finish the book for some reason.
If I begin reading at home and then read it at work, that's fine.
So from now on to avoid not finishing books (because it makes me sad) I will start reading books at home.
Moving on.
Enjoy this list of books I am waiting for/want to read.

I guess I better read "The Dead Tossed Waves" by her as well.
How much do you love Sarah Dessen? :)
May 10 2011
May 3rd 2011
This book sounds so interesting to me. It's about an eating disorder, but with a different take on it that I've never read before.
I am in love with this cover,it completely freaks me out.
Can you guess what it's about? Changelings.
The sequel to "hush, hush".
October 19th, 2010
It comes out this month!!
October 26th 2010
Sooo excited!!!
I love their writing and Rachel Cohn's "Gingerbread" is what got me back into reading, oh so long ago, when I was 15.
As you can probably tell I'm into the YA books.
Any good reads out there I should know about?
♥
Goal: Try to stop using "me" and "I" so much, mostly when typing.

Thoughts
I just realized that "Gone" by Lisa McMann comes out February 9th!
I am extremely excited & also...yesterday "Very Le Freak" by Rachel Cohn came out.
I am a huge fan of Rachel Cohn and I'll read anything she writes, except I haven't read "The Steps". Oh well.
This brings me to my next point, I love strong, weird-normal, female characters.
Cyd Charisse for instance in "Gingerbread", "Shrimp", and "Cupcake". I love her, she is the book character I "look up to."
Janie in "Wake", "Fade", and "Gone" closely follows.
I remember when I first read "Twilight" I was so into it and was like "I'm like Bella". Not so much anymore. Sure I share some of the same qualities as Bella but not some of her annoying ones.
[I don't really know why this topic came to mind today.]
"Beautiful Creatures"
I've been reading this book for the past week [it's taking me awhile because I'm having trouble focusing]. Anyways, Lena Duchannes. I'm trying to define her, I guess. She's strong, but in a different way...? But she's also vulnerable and scared.
Even though she is a Caster, she seems so normal.
It's strange, but in a good way.
I can't wait to finish it, I'm a little over halfway done.
Have a fantastic week!
