The Christmas Shopper Failure

An apology to my family is in order.
Sorry family.

I'm a Christmas shopping failure.
I bought myself a dvd that my family already got for me :(
I feel guilty and when the boy and I do some shopping next week I told him to tell me a stern "No." If I want something that isn't clothing (I have difficulties finding clothes I like, so it's a miracle when I do.

My mood is much better today.
Crying definitely helps.
Talking to the boy about random things and making plans to visit helps too.

So yes, I braved the mall today.
Aghhh.
I think I figured out my system.
Shopping by myself: buy stuff for myself.
Shopping with someone else: buy stuff for other people (hopefully)

I'm going to attempt to shop again tomorrow this time with my Momma.
She'll keep me company and maybe I'll even splurge for coffee and Belgian hot chocolate.
Good thing shopping for her is practically complete, just a few more touches.

My Dad and the boy on the other hand...don't get me started.
I had a list for the boy!  I was prepared to buy an actual boyfriend a gift that wasn't a $10 watch and a Kinder Surprise (what I bought the boy I dated when I was 15) this year!
I got to the mall and my mind blanked.
So I went to talk to my Grandma...more like vent.
She called me one of those people that shops at the last minute and finds the perfect gift.
It's true.
That last minute pressure to find a gift makes you buy something.
Sigh.
I'm stressing just writing about it.

Is anyone watching Vampire Diaries?
So good :)
Plus, I just saw the preview this morning.
Crazy stuff.

The boy wants a panda suit, what do you think?

So true.
And I hope you would do the same for me :)

This is my advent calendar for this year.
Be jealous.

Just one of those compressed logs that don't throw off any heat unless you're sitting directly in front of it, maybe.  Still nice to look at though :)

Have a great weekend!
Hopefully I will have a cornucopia of photos to share with you this week.
Yes, I have always wanted to use the word cornucopia in an actual sentence.

4. Friends

4. Write about your closest friend(s)
Hmm.
I have two close high school friends, I don't see them much but I do know that I can trust them with anything and it's never awkward when we haven't seen each other for a year.
I've gotten closer with a couple girl friends that I met about a year ago (wow! time flies).  I met them through the boy :)

One of my close friends is a blogger buddy.  We exchange advice back and forth, we know each others dating lives, and when we're stressed we vent to each other.  It helps to have her around, even if she is a million miles away.

Then my closest friends who I talk about anything with.  My Mom, my brother, and the boy.
I don't think I need to explain why my Mom is my best friend do I?  We do a lot together, we pretty much talk about anything and everything.
My brother helped with a lot with the boy this year.  He's dated longer than I have so he kind of knows, plus he's a boy.
The boy.  I like that I considered him my best friend before we even started dating.

I feel like I haven't posted in a long time, but really it's only been a couple days.
I've read some of your blogs and it sounds like everyone had a great weekend, as did I.
[Holy crap, I'm watching last week's episode of Glee.]
The boy visited this weekend :)
True we spent less than 24 hours together, but it was great.
By the way midnight cheeseburger runs are awesome.  Everyone should do it.

I also bought some new Christmas lights for my bedroom.  My rainbow ones died so I've delayed making a fort until I bought some new ones.
Oh and I have Harry Potter glasses now.  Someone gave them to me :)

Boys Are Hard To Read Too

Why must boys act the way they do?
As girls we act a little nutso sometimes, but since I am a female I get to complain about the males.

I don't care that you are limited in money, I'll pay you can pay me back later if you really must; I just want to spend time with you!

If you're stressing out.  Talk to me.  We're supposed to be friends.  Friends vent to each other and give advice or just listen.

You know if you're ever scared, mad, confused, happy, sad, whatever...you can tell me.  I will listen and if you need help, I will do my best to help.

I realize long distance can be hard, and we've been doing just fine so far.  But I don't know what goes on there, only what you tell me, and you don't know everything that goes on here.  I tell you practically everything, but I don't want to make you homesick, or make you feel like you're missing out.

I was hit on yesterday by a boy I work with and you know what?  I could care less, because all I could think about was you.  You're different. That's why I like you, a lot.  As confusing as I am to you sometimes and you to me, I do truly like you.

Dear boy, please tell me you're still coming to your town of birth this weekend.

Sorry guys, today is a hard day for some reason.

My Zombie Baby

Announcement!
My boyfriend the massive gamer has decided to give up games until he gets into college.
This is an intense goal.
People on facebook are betting other people's nuts on whether he will do this or not.
I think he can do it, I think it'll be hard but he has the motivation, it's just school costs a lot of money...Hmm.

In other news I had a wonderful day with my son.
I had a son, didn't you know this?
Having this little tyke in our shopping cart was so much fun!
You should've seen the looks we got from everyone.
I was in the change room at one point and I heard a man say "That's one creepy looking kid."
It was a good day :)

Be jealous.
We took a trip to a cupcake store today :)  So yum!
If you ever take a trip to B.C. I'll give you the address.
I don't know how many places do this (they're probably sold out most of the time) but at this place they give you a free day old cupcake with your purchase.
Seriously good.
Smore's cupcake: genius.

Don't forget to turn your clocks back tonight!
I haven't gotten very far in my list this weekend.
Sleeping, dusting, partially cleaning my room, I won't get around to baking cookies, I did rent a video game though.
I've been playing the Saw II game.  My brother and I have a thing for Saw.  I have no idea why.
I made a goal to exercise tonight!
I had coffee with my Mom yesterday and lunch today :)  We had a great time shopping today.
As much as it pains me to spend the money, I've decided to buy myself a cheap laptop.  I use it enough, so that should make it worth it.  I hope.

Tomorrow I must exercise before I go to work, finish cleaning my room and organizing my shelf and vacuum.
I don't like working Sunday nights :(
I'll channel Peter Pan and think happy thoughts: One week until I see the boy!

Have relaxing Sunday!

Whistle While You Work

I had a tough weekend.
Writing is the only way I'll admit to how I was feeling.
Writing in my journal helped some, but there's something about my fingers flying across the keyboard that is relaxing.
I talked to the boy one night.
It was our longest conversation in a month and I hadn't talked to him in about a week.
I said how it was a bit weird not seeing him as much, which with anybody that would be weird.
It's not like I miss him every single day, I don't think he gets that but whatever.
Because then he went on to say how we're both solo people, which yeah we are.
It's something I had been thinking a lot about last week.  About how I know I can survive on my own blah blah blah (I feel like I've exhausted this topic talking about it to everybody I know)
Anyways, I just didn't like that he pointed it out even though I've been pointing it out to everyone.
It's the smallest worry in the world but it bugged me.
I'm not a mushy person and have never had the desire to be one of those coupley-couples since I was fifteen, but we just sounded like two friends talking...which isn't a bad thing, he's the closest thing I have to a best friend besides my mom.  But...I don't know...
I'm just in a mood.
Agh! This is so ridiculous!
It probably didn't help that -I got asked to be a third wheel Saturday night
-Then I ended up being a third wheel with a different party
-And then I dropped my little brother off with his girlfriend

Normally being the third wheel doesn't bother me, but ...I don't know what was is going on with me.
Now I understand how long distance can be hard.
For most people it's a trust thing, right?
That's not even the case.
It's like The Universe has decided to rub it in my face that my boyfriend is three hours and $33.00 away (which by the way, that price is going down soon!  Yay!!!)
Four days to go...
Have I mentioned that I'm most likely picking him up?
Time to start planning my 'haven't you missed me?' outfit.  Just kidding, but not really.

These are the mundane thoughts that entered my head last night:
Curly or straight hair? Skirt? No skirt....But it's Fall and it's tights weather...I want flat boots.  Maybe the shirt I bought when I was over there...No because then I'd most likely be wearing all black...Maybe I'll get my ear pierced this week, no I need to save money.  I want a tattoo, but what of? Ugh, I wish I could find the perfect black skirt, I want to wear tights.  I kind of want some ankle boots...  Curly or straight hair?

According to Snow White you're supposed to whistle while you work, not think.

On a good note, I've been getting quite a bit of reading done :)
I just finished "Bad Girls Don't Die" by Katie Alender.  It's was pretty good, agh I always say that.  It was a freaky little book, wasn't expecting that, so I refrained from reading it at night, alone, in my bedroom.

Strange dream last night, I was reading blogs in my dream.

Have a superb week!
Yes, I'm using the thesaurus....
