Manic Pixie Dream Girl

While she has a point about the "Manic Pixie Dream Girl", I still love that kind of whimsical character in movies and try to apply it somewhat to my life. MPDG usually live life to the fullest, are brave, daring and creative. They have their own issues to deal with but is rarely ever shown in movies. So while I agree that the MPDG should not just be used to progress the male lead's story, I still like having a strong woman in a movie to show the male lead that it's okay to have fun and live life. Why not have a Manic Pixie Dream Girl as the lead? or what happens with her after she helps the male lead with his life? ♥
