Ultimate Girl Crush: Audrey Hepburn

Have I ever mentioned my love for Audrey Hepburn?
It began four years ago.
A friend had mentioned I should get an Audrey Hepburn type dress for prom.
I had heard of this Audrey Hepburn person before but had never put a face to the name.
I received "Breakfast at Tiffany's" for my eighteenth birthday and fell in love.
Next it was "Roman Holiday", which is my favourite Audrey Hepburn film.
After that "Wait Until Dark", "Funny Face" and "The Nun's Story" followed.  I still have yet to fully watch "My Fair Lady".
And I've been dying to see "Sabrina".
So while I haven't seen all of her films or read every book about her, I'm still a huge fan.
She is one classy lady.
Ever since I started learning about her, I've tried to adapt her behavior to my life...if that makes sense.
She's a major influence in my life, if you haven't caught that already.

"I think sex is overrated. I don't have sex appeal and I know it. As a matter of fact, I think I'm rather funny looking. My teeth are funny, for one thing, and I have none of the attributes usually required for a movie queen, including the shapeliness."

"I never thought I'd land in pictures with a face like mine."

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”

“I never think of myself as an icon. What is in other people's minds is not in my mind. I just do my thing.”

"I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.”

"I probably hold the distinction of being one movie star who, by all laws of logic, should never have made it. At each stage of my career, I lacked the experience.”

She got better as she aged, I think! I never knew a lot about Audrey but you can tell a lot about how she is through these quotes. I would love to have sat down with her and had a conversation!

I LOVE AUDREY SOOO MUCH! You can probably tell that by my user name lol. She was such an icon and I can never believe that she thought she was 'rather funny looking'. I got a book 'what would audrey do' fo r my birthday last year and it's like a audrey bible! :)
