Que Sera Sera

I'm turning into a baking blog.
It's something I've been noticing.
Baking is going to be a big part of my life though.
I'm 70% positive about that.
Makes sense, right?  Because you can never be completely positive about your future.

I used to fantasize about my future a lot, and cry over it because I thought acting was something I wanted so bad.
Do I still like the idea of transforming myself and becoming another person?  Of course, it's always going to be something I want and maybe one day I'll try being a film extra again.  Who knows?
What I'm saying is, my passion has changed.

The only problems with me getting into baking/cooking are a) I am not wealthy and would rather not be in debt after college  b) I am so impatient and with fondant/gum paste/oven time, you have to be somewhat patient.  I think people would like it if their cakes were, you know, cooked.

Lately I've had this idea of owning a cafe/art gallery....or maybe have local artists work on the walls for sale and it would always be changing.
The cafe would probably have white walls with bright accents.  Long booth seating at the sides with individual tables and chairs across from them (if that makes sense)
And then scattered seating throughout the small cafe.
And it must have rather large windows.
There would of course be a display case which would be my baby.
And I would need the best coffee and baristas around.
Le sigh.
I could spend all day thinking about this.

Who knows what the future holds, but it's up to us to make it happen.
Que sera, sera is a good way to put it.

Have you ever eaten so much you feel like you're going to explode?
3 pieces of pizza and a slice of layered cake= Food coma.

I hope summers are nicer else where because it is dreary here.
I don't think the weather gods realize it's summer.

Ooo it's hump day!
Have a lovely rest of the week :)

You know, I've got the same dream! Except I want a bakery/craft shop. I can see it all, and I'm very excited :)
I love that you put up what you bake on here! I am far too lazy.
ps-your flowers on the post below look great!

I love the idea of a cafe/art gallery! It's a really unique vision and kind of refreshing, especially with the inclusion of local artists and your home-baked goods maybe? I know it must be scary making such a leap of faith but I think it will be worth it in the end, the important thing is to work in an area you're passionate in right? :D
