Home At Last

Last I posted I was at the airport waiting for a delayed flight.
We finally arrived just after 11pm and didn't get to our sleep spot until after 1am.
Then we had to get up at 6:30am to go home.
It was a long couple of days, but I still had fun.
Don't you love when you try to take a picture of a sign and a giant parrot gets in the way?

Halloween at Disneyland is fantastic!
I wish we could've got tickets for the party, unfortunately they were sold out this time.
Next on my list is to go for Christmas sometime; I'm trying to convince the boy that we need to go on a fake honeymoon.

 Oh yes.
I waited for over 60 minutes to meet Rapunzel.
Crazy? Yes.  But she was so nice and I was so excited.

How was your Halloween?
I have a picture of my costume somewhere...it will get posted eventually but for now I need to focus on myself.
My fitness level is low at the moment and it's making me quite a bummer to be around, so I'm taking some time to change that and trying to begin a routine again.
I'm crossing my fingers that I love the gym that I'm going to try tomorrow.
Here's hoping!

I hope all you lovelies are doing well and enjoy the rest of the week!

My Week In A Nutshell

The food post will have to wait, I realized I'm missing some pictures so I might just have to post where I found the recipes.
Stupid computer, losing my pictures...
This computer is ridiculous lately.
The keyboard keeps.....agh nevermind.

Lately I've seemed busy when in reality I'm not.

I turned into a party girl.
I'm not that bad, but I still don't like it.
At the time I'm having fun dancing and having a few drinks but then a couple days later I realized that's not me.
So I'm learning how to balance.
Okay,  I'm not a party girl. I don't go out every weekend, but it still bothers me.
I'm just not used to it, I guess?

I stayed at my brother's place while he was away.
Good times :)
Their dvd collection is awesome and the boy and I ate a tub of coffee crisp icecream.

Work is work.
I'm thinking of finding another job at the beginning of summer.
Funny thing is (I just realized this now) I was supposed to be moving out this month and quitting my job.
The boy was supposed to be in The City and I was supposed to be finding a house with him and 3 other people.
Things change :)

Cheap ol' me bought a dress.
I'm quite in love with it.

Zipper front and crossing straps and polka dots= love.
Ha! I feel like Daphne in "Because I Said So" with her love for polka dots.
Hope your weekend is loverly!
I'm off to buy "Tangled".

Me:Expiration Date:March 7th 2011

I got spoiled.
Get it?
Sorry, that was terrible.
Yummy Coldstone cupcake.
Oh, wait. What's that hiding behind it?

My parents put this in my lap (wrapped) and said "Guess".
Do you know that these things way about a million pounds?
What did I end up guessing? Oh yeah a baby. "One baby?"
"Okay, 3 babies!"

Brownies.
Credit is due to a man at work for making them for me :)
He also made a cake.
Story time.
I was with one of the guys I work with and he gets a call on his phone.
"Go clean the lunch room," he says.
"I already did"
"I dunno maybe someone spilled something."
"Grrrr," that's my angry voice.
I begin walking up there and then I realized what was going on, especially after I saw someone's head poke out the window to look down at the store.
"Happy Birthday!" the total of 4 people shouted.
My face went beet red.
There was the cake :)

My friends also brought flowers to work for me, more like chased me down.
Audrey Hepburn photo, Turtles (I was craving them a couple weeks ago) and a 'Tangled' coloring book.

My friends took me out for dinner last night where we spent 4 hours trying to figure out a brain teaser. and then finally I spent an hour with the boy.
One of the best birthdays I've ever had.
I got to be with everyone I care about, how can that not be wonderful?

Here's the mixer in all it's glory.
I just made a cake with it.

Feeling A Bit Guilty

I'm feeling a bit guilty as I write this, that and anxious but I'll get to that near the end.

Happy January 3rd 2011!!

Sorry, I'm late.
New Year's Eve was good, for once.
You see, I had a New Year's Curse....well more like a Holiday Curse.
But it seems to have diminished.

New Year's Eve consisted of:
-lots of pizza
-eating too many chips before the pizza therefore I wasn't hungry any more
-hi-lighter tattoos
-noise makers, which at some point I hid in the bathroom drawer
-my first New Year's Eve kiss...with a boy (I used to kiss my Grandma on her cheek every year because we'd spend it together watching movies.)
-going to sleep around 2 am
-people singing "I'm on a boat"

Yeah, that would be it.

New Year's Day consisted of riding a bus and then missing my last ride home.
Fortunately for me my Uncle lives in town and so we went for coffee and had a wonderful conversation.
It was a motivating conversation, he probably didn't mean for it to be that way but in the end it was how I felt.

The atmosphere in The City is so different from Boring Town (which is where I live at the moment).
I went to meet The Boy after work and I had my music going, "Us" by Regina Spektor and I was running up some stairs to catch my train and the music fit and I felt like I was in a movie and it was great :)
That's how The City always makes me feel, like I'm in a movie.
I love that feeling.

I watched '500 Days of Summer' today, one of my favourite movies, and I realized I've changed so much.
I used to have Summer's exact outlook on "love", that it is a fantasy.
I related my life to that movie so much about a year ago now.
I was determined that this thing with The Boy wouldn't come of anything, I was determined I would never say the word "love" to someone and mean it.
Then one day I said it and I felt it and I meant it.
Everything has changed.
For the better of course.
Ah teary eyes.
I'm so tempted to write a "How I've Changed" post now, but I think I'll save that for my journal...when I buy a new one that is.

Another reason I'm thinking all these things is I had dinner with The Boy and his family.
It went well :)
Family banter, you gotta love it.
Ahh I hate to say it, but the boy got cheesy on me the other day now it's my turn....it makes you think one day these people could be my family.

There I said it and it's true.

New Year's Resolutions:

Honestly, I never make any.
My reason is legitimate I promise, I'll never follow through with them in that time period.
A year? A whole year for a goal(s)? That's just too long.
I make weekly, sometimes monthly goals and I complete them...with the exception of the weekly goal of cleaning my room.
But I do have a rather large goal this year: to move to The City.
It was supposed to be in 4 to 5 months, but I'm thinking the better idea would be to move in August.
The kids would be home from college for the summer, why bother paying rent if you're at home all the time?

I think this post has gone on long enough.
I hope everyone is safe and healthy (I have cold!)

If you haven't already, go see "Tangled"! I saw it again, in 3D this time.  Love.

A few pictures from the journey from The City.

Confession: I feel guilty that I haven't read any blogs in awhile.  I miss you guys and your interesting lives.
Confession: I feel guilty I forgot to call a friend today to hang out and I haven't seen her in months :(
Confession: I feel guilty that I called in sick to work, even though I am actually sick.  How does my brain even work?

Have a guilt-free week!

All Tangled Up!

I wish it would snow again.
I am optimistic that it will this week.

For future reference so no one sends out a missing persons report:
When I'm absent from my blog usually it means the boy is visiting or I am visiting him.
He visited me :)
It was a short visit but of course that doesn't matter just as long as we get to be together.

We decided not to be homebodies so much this time and went over to a friend's house to watch a movie.
I may have had a cat nap, and the boy may have scared me when he woke me up and I may have jumped ten feet in the air.
Yes, I was tired.
This will be a napping kind o f week, so I probably won't be blogging as much.
My work hours were increased, it's good for Christmas I suppose.  But it means less time with my family and less time to visit the boy.

Saturday we braved the mall.
Gadzooks!
It was absolutely bonkers in there.
I'm a bit terrified to shop in the city in a couple weeks, but definitely excited.
I get that bubbly feeling when I walk into a mall at Christmas.  The decorations, the music..the crabby shoppers who I ignore, Santa Clause etc.

All you Disney children! Please tell me you will see this movie!
I don't know if was because it was an excellent fairytale or the kids laughter throughout the theater, or if it was every time Max, the horse, came on screen the women behind me would laugh like a horse but I fell in love with this film :)
Good night and have a pleasant week.
