Red Velvet Valentine's

Life is like scrambled eggs.
The End.

Just kidding :)

But think about it.
You drop the eggs in a pan (this is the way I do it), add stuff to it and then mix it up.
It can become a mess.
Add a dash of unknown future, a sprinkle of stress, a dollop of stress from a car that's not running, a tablespoon of an annoying father (love ya Dad!) etc.
It adds up.

I started running on Saturday.
This is my 4th day.
Besides my brain freaking out about every little thing I feel good.
They might be onto something with this eating healthy, indulging every now and then and exercising thing.

Valentine's Day.
I won't rant about how you should show the people you love that you love them year round I promise.
Plans for the night were sushi, but we decided we wanted White Spot instead.
Excellent decision.
We had a really good conversation while special burger sauce dripped down our chins.
Then back to my house for this:

So good and filling.
I accidentally cut The Boy a slice the size of a small dog.
It was too much.

And that was Valentine's Day :)

Let's hope I get my car fixed soon!

Goal for the weekend: do something fun/exciting.  I refuse to organize my movies, again. I was thinking of doing it by genre this time....

P.S. I  haven't been blogging as much, because I just don't have much to blog about besides me whining about finding a career or at least a hobby, my job and my car that doesn't love me anymore :)

Have a great weekend! Mine begins tomorrow at 5pm and boy do I need it!

Good Mood

oday I was reminded of why I wanted to act.

Sometimes there are those movies that make you smile not because there was something funny, but just because.
The whole time I was watching this I was thinking, now I remember what I was going to do with my life.  This is it.
It wasn't the fact this movie is filled with "big names".
But the story line, the way things intertwined, the fact that not every story had a happy ending, the script..

Sometimes I fall for these sappy movies and when I do I tend to be in a good mood for the rest of the day.
Today is one of those days.
I'm probably over selling this film, but sometimes I just get this overwhelming feeling when I watch a movie that reminds me of my career choice and tells me to get back on track, stop flirting with the boys at work, stop thinking you're stuck in this town forever, because you're not.  Just because you have big dreams and people don't think you can achieve them doesn't mean you won't, it just means you have to try harder and show them but mainly yourself that you can do it, you want to do it and you will.

The Day Dedicated To Love

It's that day.  The Day Of Love, or so they say.
Have you done anything special?
So I have a couple of jobs, one where I work in a grocery store.  I was entertained this weekend by all the men coming in to buy last minute Valentine's Day gifts.  Is it odd that I noticed the majority of them had to be over the age of 40?
I saw a guy carrying a giant heart pillow and all I could think was "Why is your dear one going to want that?"
Ag! I was just reminded of someone I know who spent fifty bucks on a life size teddy bear.  Why?  What is she going to do with that?
If you need to buy a gift, flowers or chocolate will do..don't go out and buy a life size bear. Unless they want it, I guess.

I'm not going to go "I hate Valentine's Day" on you, because I don't.  But why does Valentine's Day need to be about gifts?
Not everyone buys gifts, I know this, but most do.
Why can't two people, or your family or friends go out and do something together?  It doesn't have to be anything overly romantic or special.  Even if it's just dinner for two at McDonald's.  Just spend time together.
Just sayin'
Especially after the frenzy I witnessed today.

It's February!
Which means A) We're that much closer to my birthday
B) For the next two weeks all people will think about is Valentine's Day (doesn't it seem that way?)
C) We're also that much closer to warmer weather

I could use a warm vacay right about now.
I'd like to stay in a pink hotel.

And D)  This movie comes out:
So stoked.

So because I haven't been blogging much lately... Busybusybusy.  I actually have somewhat of a "social life" at the moment.  Shocked?
Back to what I was saying.
Valentine's Day.

I've never really done anything special for it.
When I was little I would pick out the perfect box of Valentine's cards, they had to be unisex of course, and I would freak out when my Mom told me to give the boys in school ones that said "Be My Valentine" or some other crap like that.
Then my Mom would set out heart shaped chocolates for us in the morning and sometimes we'd even get a special gift.

Then in high school, for some reason you wanted a boyfriend for V-Day.  I don't recall ever "wanting" one like a boy is a toy or something.  I gave my friends cards, we'd do that matchmaker thing and then squeal when I got ranked highest with my crush and my ex.
I think that was only one year.  After that V-Day was just there.
So, like I said, I've never done anything special for that one day
I don't know if I want to. . .Hm.

That's all.  Have a fantastic month!
